Happy 21st birthday Joey Logano

Joey Logano, the kid who has won three straight NASCAR Nationwide (nee Busch) Series races at Kentucky Speedway is no longer a kid today.

The Middletown, Conn., native celebrates his 21st birthday, which is hard to believe since just a few years ago he was an 18-year-old rookie, cutting his teeth in NASCAR’s highest circuit.
He’s also my pick to win at Kentucky in the inaugural Quaker State 400. It wouldn’t be a bad choice considering Logano has owned the Nationwide’s standalone event at Kentucky. Also, Logano and his Joe Gibbs Racing team has been selected to participate in the June 1st tire test in Sparta.

It seems like just yesterday we were making Joey Logano can’t grow facial hair jokes, but now he’s old enough to officially wear the Coors Light hat if he wins the pole. And I’m willing to bet we’ll see him with one of those hats on in July at Kentucky. I’m just not positive how many times we’ll get to see it.
