One month until the Daytona 500

In 28 days, 43 cars will slowly approach the starter’s stand at Daytona, waiting, waiting, waiting for the green flag to drop on the 53rd edition of the “Great American Race,” the Daytona 500.

For NASCAR fans, it’s basically a holiday unparalleled by any other holiday on the schedule. Christmas? Please, it’s too cold. Thanksgiving? Sure there’s plenty of food, but it’s right after the NASCAR season ends.

We live for the Daytona 500, and in four weeks we’ll get to see our dream. I’ve been feeding you, my loyal readers, with some NASCAR news and memories, and over the next four weeks you can expect more of the same.

Have a good Sunday and enjoy some football—if that’s what you’ll be watching. If you’re itching and scratching for some NASCAR, just remember, in a few weeks there will be cars on the track.

I can’t wait.
