Cincinnati Cyclones force game seven in ECHL Conference Finals

The Cincinnati Cyclones returned home Tuesday night down 3-2 in the American Conference Finals to the Reading Royals. Needing a victory they turned to two team leaders, Barret Ehgoetz and Dustin Sproat, who each had two goals in the 6-3 win over Reading.

Game seven is tonight at 7:30 down at U.S. Bank Arena for Chuck Weber’s squad.

Jeremy Smith didn’t start the game in goal, but took over for Robert Mayer in the second period and saved 14 shots on the night.

The last team to rally from being down 3-0 in a series to win was the 1999 Orlando Solar Bears of the International Hockey League. Chuck Weber worked in the front office in Orlando, and now has a prime seat for this game seven, standing right behind the Cyclones bench.

Will Weber and crew be able to pull off the comeback and head to their second Kelly Cup finals in three seasons? The only way to find out is by heading down to U.S. Bank Arena this evening to check out some intense ECHL hockey.
