UC head football coach Brian Kelly signed a contract extension yesterday, and although it was good news, this blog post by Brian Bennett was even more cool: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/bigeast/0-5-69/More-on-Kelly-s-new-contract.html
In the post, Bennett mentions the clause of Coach Kelly's contract that calls for more funds for things like video equipment. He writes, "The contract also calls for raises for Kelly's assistant coaches and more money for operations such as video technology. "You can't do it yourself," Kelly said. "It's not a one-man show. You've got to have continuity in your staff and in your support staff. This contract signifies our ability to maintain and keep quality people here at the University of Cincinnati that are associated with our football program. That was absolutely crucial."
Needless to say, we made it to the proverbial big time now. Enjoy the hot summer days, and I'll work on a contingency plan to put up some Kentucky Speedway pictures and thoughts plus I'm getting ready to start the Brickyard 400 countdown.
